Ditch Witch of Minnesota, Inc. was established
as a Charles Machine Works distributor
in 1965 and now is one of the top Ditch
Witch distributorships in America. This
privately-held company was located in
Hopkins, MN., before moving to Shakopee,
MN., in 1971. The company is currently
operated by Warren Peiffer the company's
president and chief executive officer.
Today, Ditch Witch of Minnesota, Inc.
has 25
employees at two locations. The main
office is located in Shakopee with a
branch office in Fergus Falls. With
a large service area, equipment yard,
and testing area, the Shakopee headquarters
is a state-of-the-art Ditch Witch service
center. The Fergus Falls office houses
a complete sales, parts and service
facility. Both offices are computerized
to keep records of parts inventory,
customers, service calls, sales, and
accounting.
The company's distribution territory
covers all of Minnesota and 22 countries
in western Wisconsin located in the
region from Superior to LaCrosse. Six
sales people cover the Minnesota territory;
each one has been assigned a geographic
region within the state and has a product
specialist working with him on certain
applications.
Two Ditch Witch of Minnesota, Inc. salespeople
cover the metropolitan area, and one
salesperson handles southern Minnesota.
Two sales people in Fergus Falls divide
and cover northern and western Minnesota.
The firm's sixth salesperson handles
north and eastern Minnesota and western
Wisconsin.
